An Allegheny County woman is facing charges after she allegedly went to an ex-boyfriend’s home in Cranberry Township in an attempt to kill him.
It was just before 9:30 p.m. last Thursday when police were called to the 1200 block of Stratford Court for 39-year-old Kiersten Sands of Pittsburgh, who trying to break into an apartment.
According to charging documents, Sands left the victim a voicemail saying she was coming to kill him after the two broke up that day. Police also say Sands attempted to break into the home with a kitchen knife to pick a lock.
When requested to leave, Sands began to kick the door to the apartment but was then taken into custody.
Sands has been charged with criminal trespassing, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of a crime with intent, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
She’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 6th.
