One person who was involved in a crime ring in Western PA has pled guilty and was sentenced earlier this week.
According to an indictment from the Attorney General’s office in 2024, 34-year-old Elizabeth Madden of Pittsburgh and three others were apart of criminal organization called the “Felony Lane Gang” that would commit “smash and grab” thefts from motor vehicles.
They would steal, purses, wallets, backpacks, and ID cards then Madden and another woman would used stolen information to cash checks and withdraw money.
On Monday, Madden pled guilty to identity theft and was sentenced to 12 months of probation, along with having to $1,272 in fines, fees, and cost of prosecution.
Two others charged in December, 35-year-old Shaquan Moore of Butler, 45-year-old Theresa Imel of Dravosburg, are both awaiting trial while charges would later be dropped against Amed Henderson of Pittsburgh.
