County officials are optimistic the new Butler Senior Center will be opening soon.
There are still some ongoing construction projects at the new center, which is the former Butler Health and Fitness on North Duffy Road.
County commissioners are cautiously optimistic they will be allowed occupancy by the end of the month.
The new center will serve as a new central senior center, along with houses the offices of Area Agency on Aging and Veteran Services.
The county first purchased the building in late 2021. Last available numbers show the project at an estimated $6.5 million.
