Steven Brault pitched a two-hit, complete game for the Pittsburgh Pirates last night – as the Bucs defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1 to snap an eight-game losing streak. Brault allowed both hits and the run in the second inning. He retired the last 16 batters in the game for his first career complete game. Gregory Polanco hit his sixth home run of the year, a three-run shot in the fourth inning.
The Pirates and Cardinals play a seven-inning doubleheader today at PNC Park. The first game will begin at 4:10pm.
