With very warm temperatures set for today, AAA is warning drivers to not leave your children and pets in hot cars.
The travel agency warns that the temperature inside a vehicle can heat up by 20 degrees within 10 minutes. When temperatures rise above 90, it can feel as warm as 130 degrees inside a car.
AAA research shows that heat stroke is the leading cause of non-crash related vehicle fatalities for children 14 and younger.
Over 900 kids have died due to heat stroke over the last 25 years after being left inside hot cars.
