A Butler woman died and one person suffered serious injuries after a motorcycle crash over during the ride for the cure this weekend in Washington Township.
The accident happened just after 1 p.m. Saturday on Oneida Valley Road near the area of Annisville Road.
State Police say 69-year-old Douglas Campbell of Butler was driving south on Route 38 and as he approached Annisville Road he began to veer off the road crossing the center line and then striking a guide rail. The motorcycle then continued down an embankment and into a creek.
The passenger in the vehicle, 66-year-old Betty Campbell was pronounced dead on scene. Douglas Campbell suffered serious injuries and was transported via life flight to a Pittsburgh hospital. He’s currently in critical condition.
After the crash the ride was ended and riders returned the American Legion Post to pray for the family.
