A local EMT involved with youth programs in Adams Township was arrested for an alleged indecent assault that was first reported to police late last month.
Following forensic interviews with multiple juvenile victims State Police arrested and charged 51-year-old Nathan Mitchell for Sexual Assault by Sports Official, Indecent Assault of a Person Less Than 13 Years of Age, Corruption of Minors, and several related charges. The investigation is considered ongoing at this time.
Mitchell was employed with Quality EMS and worked with the Mars Area Recreational Sports Youth Football and Cheer program.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, court records show Nathan Mitchell, then known as Joshua Workmen, pleaded “no contest” to misdemeanor child molestation in California in 2008.
Court documents show he got his case dismissed in 2011 and then petitioned for a certificate of rehabilitation and pardon in 2020. He also went through proceedings to change his name to Nathan Mitchell.
