Karen Ann Manny, 77, of Chicora, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 24, 1948, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Orth, Sr. and Jane Cubbison Orth.
Karen was employed for 43 years as a facilities manager for Nationwide Insurance. She also worked as a switchboard operator at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Karen was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed bowling and attending craft shows. A loving mother, it gave her great joy to attend her son’s sporting events.
She is survived by her son, John Paul Manny, of Chicora; two brothers, Herbert Orth, Jr., of Butler, and Ronald Orth, of Slippery Rock; one sister, Delores Collins, of Rocklin, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William John Manny, Jr., who passed away Dec. 24, 2000; and two sisters, Marion J. Scott and Darlene Oertel.
Friends will be received at Martin Funeral Home Downtown, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with Rev. John J. Baver officiating.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
