A Chicora man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after assaulting and threatening a victim to withhold testimony.
On Wednesday, police were called to a home in Connoquenessing Township for a domestic incident.
When police arrived on scene, the victim accused Nathan Cornell of assaulting them by throwing against a wall and punching them in the face. Cornell is also accused of threatening the victim to not testify in a separate case against Cornell.
According to charging documents, Cornell also sent several text messages to the victim where Cornell said his goal was to “(ruin the victims) and his life up” and “put another body on his count.”
Cornell has been charged with intimidating a witness or victim, terroristic threats, harassment, and simple assault.
He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $75,000 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
