Cranberry Township Police have charged a man after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman.
On Friday morning, police were called to the Cranberry Courtyard and Marriott for a domestic incident.
When police arrived on scene, the victim, who is eight weeks pregnant said she and 41-year-old Salvador Perez got into an argument over the pregnancy. According to victim Perez wanted her to get an abortion.
The victim accused Perez of hitting her in the head, abdomen, and while the victim was on the ground Perez allegedly put his whole body on the victim’s abdomen.
Perez is temporarily living at the hotel as he was doing renovations.
He has been charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child, simple assault, and harassment.
Perez is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
