Butler Ambulance is extending a deal with the county to help receive funding when responding to an overdose.
The county will pay Butler Ambulance $125 for each overdose response call. The funding is from the county’s opioid settlement.
The offer is available for all EMS providers in the county, however Butler Ambulance is currently the only service that signed up for the agreement.
County commissioners say they made this offer available because EMS does not get reimbursed for an overdose response if they don’t transport the individual.
