Mars and Callery Borough may soon enter into an agreement that will have one person oversee emergency management in both municipalities.
Currently Christine Clutter, the Mars Secretary and Treasurer, is the volunteer emergency management coordinator for Mars.
Callery has asked Clutter if she could serve in that capacity for their borough. The two municipalities are now working on agreement to officially have one coordinator for both municipalities.
The position is completely volunteer and the borough solicitors are reviewing required agreement documents from the county
An agreement is expected to be reached and approved at the next council meeting in April.
