The Mars Area School Board has made a change to the 2026-27 school calendar.
At their meeting earlier this week, board members approved taking two days off next spring (April 16 and March 29, 2027) to use as make up days for the first two days missed due to weather next winter.
If in-person instruction is not possible on a third or additional days, remote learning would be used and students would log into class for live instruction as they have been this year.
The first day of school for Mars students this fall is August 25th. More information about the 2026-27 school calendar can be found on the Mars Area School District website.
