The repair and improvement work at the Butler City Building continues to progress.
As a result of a burst water pipe in November, Council has been working to have repairs made along with making additional improvements to many areas of the structure.
One of the repairs approved at Council’s Thursday night meeting was to authorize the installation of carpet on the second and third floors by Throwers Home Improvement and Service in the amount of just over $6,000. A portion of this will be covered by insurance with the rest paid by the city.
Council also approved an agreement with Partition King in the amount of nearly $4,000 for the purchase of three stainless-steel partitions for the restrooms on the second floor. City employees will complete the installation of these partitions in the near future.
