A new report by Yale University is showing concern on potential cost of healthcare with the planned merger of Independence Health System and WVU Health System.
The Health Care Affordability Lab said the merger would concentrate hospital care in a smaller number of owners in southwestern PA.
The study said the most alarming area of the merger for costs would be in Connellsville.
The merger is set to close later this fall.
