A paving project begins this week on Route 422 in western Butler County.
PennDOT says the project from the Lawrence County line east to West Park Road in Slippery Rock and Muddy Creek Townships begins Wednesday and will run through the end of October.
Route 422 motorists between McConnells Mill Road and West Park Road should expect single lane closures both east and westbound as needed. Four ramps are also included with this nearly $6 million project.
PennDOT is also continuing the Franklin Road Corridor Safety Improvement Project. Utility relocation and installation of water and gas lines between Route 228 and Peters Road in Cranberry Township is expected to continue until the end of May. Crews will soon begin the construction phase of the project with traffic impacts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then 6 to 9 p.m.
