High school sports scores from Wednesday (4/9/26):
Baseball:
–Butler-1 North Allegheny-0. Nolan Stefaniak and Ryan Rattigan combined on a one-hitter with three walks and 11 strikeouts. The Golden Tornado are now 6-2 overall and 3-1 in section play.
–Knoch-3 Highlands-1. Zane Pacek threw a complete-game with eight strikeouts. Knoch improved to 8-1 and 3-0 in section play.
–Grove City outlasted Slippery Rock 4-3. Apollo Como hit a walk-off 2-RBI double for Grove City. He collected two hits in the game. Slippery Rock had 10 hits, led by Doug Popovec with three. Isaac McCandless had two hits and two RBI’s. He also pitched six innings, allowing two runs and striking out four. Slippery Rock is now 1-1 and host Wilmington today at 4pm.
–Karns City-22 Brockway-8.
–Freeport-6 Mars-3. Freeport now 8-0.
