The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has named North Catholic senior guard Jason Fredericks their Class 4A boys basketball Player of the Year. Fredericks averaged more than 23 points per game this season and led the WPIAL Class 4A in scoring. He netted more than 1,400 points in his career with the Trojans. Fredericks and Knoch senior Teegan Finucan were both named the paper’s Fab Five of Class 4A. Fredericks and Finucan were joined by North Catholic’s Jude Rottman to the Class 4A All-Section 1 team.
Mars senior Austen Wroblewski was named to the Class 5A All-Section 4 team.
Alexis Cashdollar of Mars was named to the Post-Gazette’s Class 5A Fab Five team. The Planets senior was also named All-Section. Seneca Valley’s Natalie Hamby and Reece McFadden were named to the Class 6A All-Section 1 team.
Knoch’s Neah Ewing, along with Brady Wehner and Sam Weir of North Catholic were named to the All-Section 1 Class 4A team.
