A new class of state police troopers were officially sworn into duties late last week.
The 175th Cadet Class of State Police officers graduated and were assigned their positions last Friday.
The 69 new troopers will go all throughout the state, however Troop D in Butler will not be receiving any new cadets.
Over half of the cadets that graduated would not had been eligible if the college credit requirement had not been waived.
Since the requirement was waived there has been a nearly 60 percent increase in cadets according to State Police.
