An Ellwood City man pled guilty and was sentenced this week for robbing and attacking another man in Washington Township last year.
In March 2025, police accused 32-year-old Dylan Hinchberger of breaking into a home on Stewart Road around 2:45 a.m. and stealing several fire arms.
After stealing the weapons, Hinchberger attacked the home owner and stole the victim’s car then drove five miles before crashing into a tree.
Hinchberger then fled the scene but was eventually apprehended in the woods.
On Thursday, Hinchberger pled guilty to aggravated assault and robbery, he was sentenced to 60 to 120 months in prison and 120 months of probation upon his release.
Along with the prison time, Hinchberger will have to pay $4,865 in fines, fees, and cost of prosecution.
