After stealing a vehicle and using someone else’s Venmo to send herself money in Cherry Township, an East Brady woman has been placed in the Butler County Prison.
On Friday police were called to the 100 block of Hungarian Road for a car and money theft.
The victim accused 28-year-old Rylee Snyder of stealing his cousin’s vehicle and using his Venmo to send herself $330. The victim also provided video evidence and banking records of the alleged crimes. Snyder did eventually return the stole vehicle, but took another vehicle owned by her at the home.
Police spotted Snyder while speaking with the victim and they allege she fled from police but would eventually be apprehended. When police interviewed Snyder, she claimed she just bought the vehicle she allegedly stole and that the victim sent her the money to play casino games.
Snyder was charged with fleeing or eluding police, felony and misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking and several driving offenses.
Bail was set 15,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 2.
