A Sarver man is in the Butler County Prison after being accused of tearing down parts of a Buffalo Township home while his wife and children were inside.
On Tuesday, police were called to the 100 block of Martin Road after 48-year-old Erik Pierwsza was allegedly in an excavator and was tearing down parts of their home.
According to police, Pierwsza’s wife said she wanted a divorce, which led to him threatening to tear down the home.
Police say his wife and two children were in the house when he started the excavator. His wife also accused Pierwsza of being under the influence.
Pierwsza left before police arrived and the home was damaged.
He’s been charged with causing a catastrophe, disorderly conduct, and three counts of recklessly endangering another person.
Pierwsza was eventually apprehend and his bail was set at $10,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 9.
