The latest numbers from the Department of Labor show that Butler County has a lower unemployment rate than the state average.
The report found that Butler County has a 3.7 percent unemployment rate. The statewide rate is at 4.2 percent.
The county’s labor force is just shy of an estimated 102,000, meaning there are 3,800 people currently unemployed in the county.
There has also been a slight uptick in online job postings compared to this time last year.
