Ruth L. Beck, 107, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
Born July 29, 1918, in Clearfield Township, Butler County, she was a daughter of the late George E. Lucas and Estella R. Morgan Lucas.
A graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Ruth worked as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital, Butler Memorial Hospital, and as a private duty nurse.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler, where she was a dedicated volunteer. She also volunteered at the St. Paul School Library and at the Tanglewood Senior Center.
She loved Bingo, and she was an outstanding baker of pies.
Ruth will be missed for her infectious laugh, her thoughtfulness, and her unending concern for others.
She is survived by two children, Rose Kutlenios and her husband, John, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Carl Raymond Beck and his wife, Diane, of Camp Hill, Pa.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl W. Beck, whom she married Sept. 10, 1946, and who passed away Sept. 8, 2007; one daughter, Mary Weiland; one son-in-law, Ken Weiland; four sisters; three brothers; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home Downtown, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, on Wednesday, July 8, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
