A local man who attempted to flee police last year has been sentenced.
In March of 2025, Butler Township Police stopped 27-year-old Noah Burnside at the intersection of Evergreen and Peterson Streets for an active warrant.
After being stopped, Burnside attempted to escape from police on foot but was eventually apprehended.
Burnside pled guilty last month to felony aggravated assault, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture, or deliver, and firearms not to be carried without a license.
He has been sentenced to a total of 27 to 69 months of confinement followed by 11 years of probation. He will also have to pay nearly $7,000 in fines and fees.
