It’s been an extraordinarily soggy start to August.
New numbers from the National Weather Service say the Pittsburgh area has received 4.16 inches of rain over the first 12 days of the month.
Our typical average at this time is usually just shy of 1.5 inches.
The number may even be higher in select parts of Butler County that have been hit hard by heavy rain.
There is some relief on the way, with a dry Saturday expected and a string of sunny days early next week.
