The Butler Transit Authority is joining in an effort to help patients in need after discharge from Butler Memorial Hospital.
In response to a letter received from WVU Medicine, the Authority’s Board of Directors approved a motion to co-sponsor an application for grant funding to develop a “Dignity Closet”.
According to Executive Director John Paul, WVU Medicine is seeking grant funding for clothes, shoes, phone chargers, emergency food packs, hygiene products, wound care supplies, money for prescriptions or transportation, and bus passes.
This initiative would have no cost for the Authority.
