The Pittsburgh Steelers signed veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad on Tuesday. The signing reunites Valdes-Scantling with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and coach Mike McCarthy. The 32-year old Valdes-Scantling was previously with those two in Green Bay. He teamed up with Rodgers again last season, joining the Steelers in November. He began this season with the Los Angeles Chargers, but was released over the weekend. The Steelers have several receivers out with injury.
The NFL announced Tuesday that security will be heightened for the game in Paris between the Steelers and New Orleans Saints on Sunday after civil unrest protests engulfed the French capital last weekend.
Kick-off is 9:30am our time Sunday morning. Hear the game on WISR beginning with the pre-game at 8:30am.
