One person was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital early Wednesday morning following a crash in northern Butler County.
The accident happened about 4:30 a.m. on Route 268 (Kittanning Pike) in Parker Township.
According to a member of the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department who was among those responding to the scene, a single vehicle with one occupant impacted a tree at a high rate of speed. An unidentified male was flown to Allegheny General for treatment of head injuries. A State Police investigation is ongoing.
Crews from Chicora, Petrolia, and Emlenton Ambulance also assisted at that scene. A portion of Route 268 was closed for over an hour.
