August “Gus” Gregory Kneidinger, age 69, of Prospect, passed away Tuesday evening, September 23,2025 at UPMC Passavant in McCandless following an illness.
Born July 13,1956 in Pittsburgh; he was the son of the late August Stephen and Mary Stanko Kneidinger.
Gus was a career carpenter and retired December 1,2014 from the Heavy Highway Carpenters Local Union #274.
He enjoyed time with his family and was the master coordinator for the family outdoor activities and renting cabins for the get aways near Pymatuning State Park and other fun places.
Gus was an avid fisherman and loved fishing Bass Tournaments. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, hiking, camping, and loved taking and cherishing photos.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dotty” Dubler Kneidinger, who he married July 24,1982; his sons Eric (Laura) Rydbom and Jason August Kneidinger all of Grove City; two granddaughters Mikenzie and Tehlor Kneidinger; his sister Mary Frances (Charlie Ehredt) Kneidinger of Dysart, PA.
The family will receive family and friends on Monday, September 29,2025 from 10am until noon at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.
