About one year after the Butler Township Recreation Field at Pullman began to see use, local officials gathered Thursday to cut a ribbon.
The concessions and press-box building next to the field was recently completed so many of those who helped with the process over the last few years marked the occasion by taking a closer look.
Township commissioners and administrators were commended for their vision and hard work to realize the facility as an economic driver for the Butler area. The field is being used regularly and many groups have contacted Experience Butler County with interest for events in the future.
Work in the area continues with a youth field, flag football field, and regulation soccer field expected to be able to be used at some point in November.
