After a lengthy rain delay, Ryan Blaney won the Nascar Cup Series race in Atlanta early this morning in a three-way battle in overtime. Blaney, who started from the pole and won both stages of the race, led 171 laps. He held off Bubba Wallace and Christopher Bell at the finish. Wallace was later penalized for passing below the double yellow lines and was designated to a 29th place finish instead of second.
The drivers head to North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina this Sunday night. The track had been off the Cup Series circuit for a points race since September of 1996.
