A Butler man is facing charges after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into a parked car while under the influence of alcohol in the city of Butler.
On Thursday just before 5 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of New Castle Road for a hit and run. As police were on their way to the scene, they received an update the incident had become domestic.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle intentionally crashing into a parked vehicle. The driver was 25-year-old John Spencer.
Police say he also attempted to hit the victim with his vehicle. Spencer eventually got out of the vehicle and was taken into custody.
The victim on scene did not cooperate with the investigation but several empty twisted tea containers were found in the passenger seat of Spencer’s vehicle.
He was charged with aggravated assault and a DUI and placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
