A longtime business owner and local musician has died.
Jim Chiprean of Butler passed away earlier this week.
Chiprean worked at his family’s business, Miller’s Shoes, in downtown Butler for more than 60 years.
He was also an active member of the community, including helping spearhead the first Spirit of Christmas Parade on Main Street.
Chiprean was a dedicated musician, performing with numerous local groups and promoting the local music scene.
