A Cranberry Township woman was almost impaled after she crashed through fences of a Cranberry Township home.
On November 28, police were called to the 100 block of Buttercup Drive for a woman who had crashed through a fence into someone’s backyard.
The caller reported they saw a piece of wood had broken through the windshield and was just above the drivers shoulder and thought the driver had been impaled.
When officers arrived, they identified the driver as 46-year-old Lisa Hamder. Police say Hamder was conscious with a laceration on her face and out of the vehicle. She was then transported to Allegheny General Hospital for her injuries.
Charging documents say several empty alcoholic beverages cans were found in the vehicle and a blood test showed a blood alcohol content above the legal limit.
Hamder was charged with a DUI and accident damaging to unattended vehicle or property. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 31.
