Local residents are invited to get their fix of all things Italian at a new event this weekend.
A locally organized Butler City Italian Days will kick off Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. before continuing Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Sons and Daughters of Italy Butler Lodge will present a celebration of Italian heritage along with a cultural food fest, live music, a variety of vendors, and other family-friendly entertainment.
Parking restrictions include no parking on East Diamond from noon Friday until 10 p.m. Saturday. Other restrictions include no parking from Wayne to Cunnigham Friday at noon until 11 p.m. as well as Main Street closes 3 to 11 p.m. from Wayne to Cunnigham. Then on Saturday, there is no parking from Wayne to Cunnigham from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. along with Main Street closure from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Normal detours will be in place around the festival.
