Developers will be able to move forward with plans to bring a popular restaurant to Butler following a decision by the Butler Township Zoning Hearing Board.
Wednesday night the board heard an appeal filed by representatives for Chick-fil-A concerning a Special Exception for a couple of canopies.
The property being discussed is located at 660 Butler Crossing and is currently owned by Northwest Bank. The first permanent detached canopy is used for ordering food and is about 55 by 26 feet with nine feet of clearance. The second metal canopy is also detached, is about 32 by 60 feet, and is used for meal delivery.
The decision to grant the special exception allows for the submission of a land development plan to the Township’s Planning Commission at a future date that has not yet been determined. This decision can be appealed within a 30 day window to the Court of Common Pleas.
