Crews battled a blaze at an apartment building in Slippery Rock Borough Wednesday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday for smoke in a building in the 100 block of South Main Street Slippery Rock.
Firefighters from Slippery Rock, Harrisville, Unionville, Prospect, Butler City, and Butler Township were dispatched to find a working fire in a two-story structure.
Crews were able to get the fire under control within 45 minutes.
Officials believe the fire started due to an electrical issue. The indoor smoke caused significant damage inside the apartment building.
