Local municipalities, nonprofits, and community groups are invited to apply for state grant funding to help with park improvements.
The PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will host a free virtual grant workshop on Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon for the Community Conservation Partnerships Program grants.
The session will cover who can apply, what types of projects can be funded, and how to make applications stand out. Participants will also have a chance to connect directly with DCNR grant managers and regional advisers during a live Q&A.
Millions of dollars are available for projects across the state to plan, acquire, and develop public parks, recreation areas, trails, river access, and conservation of open space.
Pre-registration for this free workshop is required through the DCNR website. A recording will be available afterward on the DCNR YouTube channel.
