Butler City Mayor Bob Dandoy has won another term in office.
According to unofficial results from the Bureau of Elections, the Democratic incumbent won another four years as Butler’s mayor.
He defeated Republican challenger Don Shearer by just under 400 votes.
A write-in campaign by former Mayor Tom Donaldson appears to have garnered under 100 total votes in the election.
Dandoy first won election in 2021 after serving on City Council.
CITY COUNCIL RACE
The race for two spots on Butler City Council will see one go to a newcomer while the other could be too close to call definitively.
According to unofficial results, Lisa Quebedeaux received nearly 1,400 votes to secure one of the open seats.
Bill Painter has currently received 1,258 votes which has him in line for the second seat. However John Kramer has a total of 1,247 which is 11 votes behind Painter.
24 Write In votes have been received with the possibility of other provisional and mail-in ballots still to be counted so this race could be challenged which would result in a recount.
