The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a response from a company that was ordered to plug oil and gas wells in Northern Butler County.
In October, the DEP ordered S. R. Star O&G, LLC to plug 11 oil and gas wells in Slippery Rock by the end of the year.
In November, the owner failed to report waste generation, annual production, and well integrity reports.
The DEP has requested a response on these violations by Thursday.
