The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue is continuing the new fiscal year with tax collections similar to last month again totaling $3 billion.
Revenue from sales tax in August totaled $1.3 billion while personal income tax was $1.2 billion for the month.
The Motor License Fund received nearly $311 million for the month from gas and diesel taxes, as well as other license, fine, and fee revenues.
This collection data does not include a comparison against anticipated amounts because the official estimate for the 2025-26 fiscal year has still not been certified since it is part of the state budgeting process.
