Francis “Louie” Byers

Francis “Louie” Byers, 101, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was born in Saxonburg on June 3, 1924, to the late William and Elsie (Drescher) Byers. Louie graduated from Butler High School and then honorably served in the U.S. Navy as an aviation electrician, after the Navy he was employed as a Quality Control Inspector. He loved to garden and travel. Louie was the brother of Paul, Richard and Arthur Byers, Betty Vogel, and Lynee Schoentag; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
