A major winter storm hit Western Pennsylvania early Sunday morning.
The long-projected forecast came to fruition starting early Sunday and has continued to pack a punch over throughout the day.
Outside of the Butler Radio stations in the City’s west end, there was 10 inches of snow by noon.
The projected totals still vary, but are expected to range between 14 to 18 inches.
The City of Butler issued an emergency declaration, which will allow the city to utilize resources at a greater pace to help handle the winter storm.
There was one call into the Butler County 911 Center for an accident in Prospect Borough for a car into a tree, but officials urge people to stay home during the winter storm warning.
Crews have been out plowing roads, but the quick accumulation has led to sketchy road conditions.
