The Butler high school track and field teams will host the semifinal round of the WPIAL championship playoffs Tuesday. The Golden Tornado boys won the Class 3A Section 3 title going 6-0 this spring. The event begins at 3pm.

–Butler-5 Central Catholic-4 in 10-innings. The Golden Tornado are now 12-3 overall this season and 7-2 in section play.
–North Allegheny-4 Seneca Valley-3. North Allegheny remained a game behind Butler in section play with the win and are 6-3 in the section, 9-5 overall. The Raiders fell to 10-7 overall and 5-4 in the section.
–Karns City-12 North Clarion-1 in six innings.
