Idamae “Ida” E. Riding, 93, of Butler, PA, passed away on May 30, 2026 at Concordia at Cabot.
She was born on December 8, 1932, in Butler, PA to the late Noble Reges and Ida (Cline) Myrtle.
In her younger years she worked at Moonlight Mushroom Farm in Worthington. Ida was a member of the former Oneida Valley Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Ida was a big baseball fan, always watching it on television.
She is survived by daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” (Steven) Casper and long time friend and caretaker, Sandra Zulick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Riding, whom she married June 30, 1950 and passed away on December 17, 2003, daughter, Crystal Ann Riding; brothers, Kenneth, Clarence, Noble, Howard, and Melvin Reges, and sisters, Bertha Custer and Evelyn McCune.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Bob Edmundson officiating.
Ida will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
