A new doctor will join local medical facilities as part of the Independence Health System.
Dr. Anthony Mustovich is the newest member of Butler Memorial Hospital orthopedic surgery team with expertise in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Mustovich is a native of Western Pennsylvania and obtained his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine before joining the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
He went on to complete a general surgery internship at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia and later became chief of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Bassett Army Community Hospital in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Orthopedic Walkin Clinics are available at their offices at 480 East Jefferson Street for individuals 12 years and older on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with no appointment required. The clinic provides care for acute orthopedic and sports-related injuries, including ACL tears, knee pain, dislocations, sprains, strains, and other injuries.
