Brad Lee Kozak of Pittsburgh PA peacefully passed away on February 25th, 2026, at the age of 53. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 15, 1972, to Darlene Connor.
Brad was a one of a kind, larger than life person. The kind of person everyone should want as a friend. He would always light up a room when he entered and just make everyone happier.
His two passions in life were skateboarding and family. He was skating in some of the earliest competitions in the Pittsburgh area and was so good that he was signed to go pro at one point.
He also helped build most of the skateparks around the burgh that we all grew up skating on.
Brad enjoyed following the grateful dead around on tour and followed them many times.
He loved the beach and lived in Myrtle Beach for a time making and selling dream catchers and jewelry of his own design. No matter what, he always enjoyed looking fresh!
Brad was a huge Steelers fan and always enjoyed watching games with family and friends.
Pittsburgh was always his true home no matter where he lived.
Brad is survived by his mother, Darlene; siblings, Matt (Kristine) and Angel (Rich); his soulmate, Tanya; the two young men that he raised as his own, Dalton and Gabe; nieces, Katelyn, Rylee, Zoey and Sophie and nephews, Ian, Jacob and Logan
He will be greatly missed!
Brad, we will look to the sun every morning and the stars at night to talk to you.
Rest now and we will see you when its time.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 5-7 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM. A closing prayer will immediately follow in the funeral home.
