It is general primary day in the Commonwealth but in Butler County voters will only see a few primary battles.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and will stay open until 8 p.m.
The first will be for Lieutenant Governor on the Republican ballot.
Pittsburgh Attorney Jason Richey, supported by Republican Candidate for Governor Stacy Garrity, against former UPS Security Director John Ventre.
The second is a battle for the Republican nomination for a state house seat in District 12 which represents portions of Southwestern Butler County.
Ethan Nicholas will battle Scott Timko for the Republican nomination. This primary will be for the November general election to fill the seat starting in January 2027.
An election to finish Rep. Stephenie Scialabba’s term will be held in August.
Finally, voters in both parties will be electing state party committee leaders.
