Karen A. Dunn, 87, of Butler, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday July 4, 2026 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born on August 24, 1938 in New Kensington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gerald T. Stepp and Ruth E. (Hagan) Stepp.
Karen was a graduate of Butler High School where she became a secretary for the school for a number of years, before becoming a homemaker devoted to her family. She enjoyed watching tennis, being outdoors, gardening and bird watching. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dale E. Dunn, whom she married August 2, 1958; three sons, Thomas E. (Carla) Dunn of Cranberry Twp, Eric S. (Amanda) Dunn of West Deer Twp., and Steven E. Dunn of Butler; three grandchildren, Courtney H. (Connor) Battin, Ryan S. Dunn and Emily T. Dunn, and brother, Larry G. (Stephanie) Stepp, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Marsha E. Matson.
All services will be held privately per family wishes.
